Samsung has today launched a new product, and it is not a new smartphone. This time, the South Korean brand has for the first time introduced an official 60W charging adapter for Galaxy smartphones and devices. While the product itself is pretty generic, it does hint at an exciting possibility.
Samsung's new 60W charger is now official
The official Samsung 60W Power Adapter has been listed on the Levant website and is currently available to purchase in select Middle Eastern regions. It bears the EP-T6010 model number and comes with a single USB-C port.

The 60W charger uses the newer PD3.1 PPS charging standard and can go as low as 5mW in Low Power Consumption Mode. It also comes with Temperature protection, Overcurrent protection, Short Circuit protection and Low Noise operation.
Also, Samsung confirms cross-device compatibility for the adapter via the official listing. It can deliver the maximum charging output to Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy tablets, Galaxy Watches, Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Books.

Galaxy S26 Ultra could get 60W charging speed upgrade
The new Samsung 60W charger has landed just a few months shy of the Galaxy S26 series unveiling. Also, none of the Samsung devices currently support the new PD3.1 charging protocol. Hence, there is a strong belief that this new launch is a direct hint at 60W fast USB-C charging for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
This doesn't seem impossible since rumours about the Galaxy S26 Ultra 60W charging speed have been floating around quite a lot lately. Also, the smartphone is said to bring the Qi 2.0 wireless charging standard and magnetic charging for the first time. Hence, it looks like the smartphone is all set to gain charging upgrades next year.
