Summary

  • Samsung is reportedly exploring a new in-house Exynos chip for connectivity with the Galaxy S26 series.
  • The Exynos S6568 processor has been listed on the Bluetooth Qualified Products website, and it will be Bluetooth 6.1-compatible.
  • Samsung 's upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup will reportedly go official in February or March 2026.

Samsung's Galaxy S26 series is expected to go official early in 2026. Ahead of that, the rumour mill is already buzzing with interesting details. The latest one has landed in the form of a new connectivity chip that the upcoming phones will allegedly use.

Samsung could take on Apple with custom Exynos chip for connectivity

Spotted by GSMArena, a new Exynos chipset with the SKU S6568 was recently listed on the Bluetooth qualified products website. We checked it from our end and could spot the same as well. This means Samsung could bring a new custom connectivity chip to the table, like the Apple's custom N1 wireless networking chip that was introduced with the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.

For context, any new Bluetooth-compatible processor, before they're officially released, has to get itself listed on the Bluetooth qualified database. These are usually finished products which are expected to be announced or launched alongside a device in the near future.

Hence, the Exynos S6568's appearance could only mean that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series including the Galaxy S6 Ultra is all set to debut with an in-house connectivity chipset. If true, this will make this the first step towards a truly all-made Samsung Exynos connectivity modem, which the brand has been working on for years.

Additionally, the new Exynos processor is also Bluetooth 6.1 compatible. Hence, the Galaxy S26 lineup could very well lead the industry in terms of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Other than this, no other detail is currently available regarding the new SoC.

Samsung could very well announce the new chipset beforehand or launch it alongside the upcoming Galaxy smartphones. Either way, we will know for sure once an official confirmation has been made regarding the same. So, as of now, take this new development with a pinch of salt.

With reports of Galaxy S26 series launch delay, it could be sometime before we hear something official. Samsung's upcoming flagship phones are expected to launch in February or March 2026. So, stay updated on Beebom Gadgets to learn new details about the phones when they arrive.
