Back in May 2025, the Sony Xperia 1 VII went official in markets like the UK and Europe. Now, after almost a year, it seems like the Xperia 1 VIII is close to launch, as it got listed on Amazon UK and Germany prematurely, revealing key details, pricing, launch date and more.
Amazon UK and Germany Accidentally Lists Xperia 1 VIII Ahead of Launch
Spotted by GSMArena, the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VIII was accidentally listed on the Amazon UK and Germany websites for a brief moment. Although the pages have now been pulled, the publication managed to grab some of its key details, including its unbelievably steep 1,728 pounds (approximately Rs 2,23,000) price tag.

However, the selling price is not for the smartphone alone. Sony is also bundling its flagship WH-1000XM6 headphones with the smartphone. Moreover, the page seemingly confirmed the fact that the Xperia 1 VIII will officially launch on June 26, 2026.
For specs, the Xperia 1 VIII will reportedly build on the flagship status of the Xperia 1 VII and will reportedly feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz OLED display. It is expected to feature triple ZEISS rear cameras, but the camera plateau this time around is reportedly going for a look reminiscent of the OnePlus 10 Pro from 2022. While the exact camera specs are unknown, they said to offer a 24mm main camera sensor, a 16mm ultra-wide lens and a 70mm telephoto camera.

The phone is still expected to feature the tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio with thick bottom and top chin and a 3.5mm headphone jack with 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio support. However, the main highlight with the Xperia 1 VIII could be the new dedicated physical button for Xperia AI.
Aside from that, we do not get to know the phone's battery capacity, processor and the other details. It is very likely to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. At launch, the smartphone will reportedly be available in Graphite Black, Iolite Silver and Garnet Red colourways.
