The Note A1 NxtPaper has been announced on Kickstarter, and it aims to kill off the compromises usually associated with e-ink technology. It features an 11.5-inch 2200 x 1440 pixels LCD panel, which runs at a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display uses TCL's NxtPaper Pure technology to cut blue light and glare, offering a display finish and experience that mimics paper.

All this while the tablet is still capable of playing video, thanks to the 16.7 million colours support. It's positioned as a productivity tool and ships with the T-Pen Pro. The stylus boasts 5 ms latency for natural note-taking. Powering the internals is a MediaTek Helio G100 processor with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB onboard storage.

The processor is responsible for powering the built-in AI features that can transcribe voice notes and beautify handwriting. TCL also markets AI-powered features include AI summarisation, Audio to Text transcription, Real-time translation and more. Besides the large 8,000mAh battery that charges at 33W, the tablet also features an eight microphones array.

The Note A1 NxtPaper will be first available via its official Kickstarter page, and early backers can score it for $419 (approximately Rs 37,500).
