Vivo has finally launched its latest foldable, the X Fold 5 in the subcontinent, and it's the firm's slimmest foldable yet. The phone boasts the biggest battery in a foldable yet, triple rear cameras, and more. Here's are all of its specifications and features.

Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications and Features

Starting with the display, the Vivo X Fold 5 boasts an 8.03-inch 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED display with 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The cover display is a 6.53-inch 120 Hz LTPO panel with 5,500 nits of peak brightness. The outer display is protected by second generation Armor Glass.

The X Fold 5 weighs 217 grams and measures 9.2 mm when folded and 4.3 mm when unfolded, just 0.1 mm shy of the Oppo Find N5. Vivo claims the hinge is good for over 6,00,000 folds and there's protection against water with IPX8 and IPX9/X9+ rating, alongside IP5X dust resistance.

Performance-wise, the phone features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, an octa-core chipset with 1 x Cortex-X4 core, 5 x Cortex-A720 cores and 2 x Cortex-A520 cores. It's paired with up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage.

The back of the X Fold 5 hosts a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP wide f/1.6 snapper, a 50 MP periscope f/2.6 with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide f/2.1 snapper, all with Zeiss optics. Both the wide and periscope cameras boast OIS. The front cameras on both the internal and outer cover displays are 20 MP wide f/2.4 units.

Powering the internals is the biggest battery in a book style foldable yet, a 6,000mAh Silicon Carbon unit with 80W fast charging and 40W wireless charging. Software-wise, the phone will run on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 out-of-the-box. Vivo promises three years of software updates and a total of four years of security patches.

One of the unique software features the X Fold 5 comes with is called Origin Workbench. It's a multitasking feature that allows users to run five apps parallelly at the same time. Besides, the phone also offers an iPhone-like action button, which you can assign to launch certain features in the OS.

Connectivity-wise, there's Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The phone also boasts stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the phone also comes with AI smarts for summaries, image editing, writing assist tools and a smart call assistant.

Vivo X Fold 5 Price in India and Sale Date

The Vivo X Fold 5 comes in only one colour i.e., Titanium Gray and is priced at Rs 1,49,999 for the single 16 GB + 512 GB variant.

Pre-booking starts today and the device goes on sale from July 30, 2025 on the Vivo store and other partners. Buyers can avail 10% bank discount on HDFC, SBI, IDFC, HSBC and Yes Bank cards. Vivo is also offering a 1-year free extended warranty, alongside a 24-month no-cost EMI option.
