Alongside the Xiaomi 17T series, the brand has also expanded its wearable portfolio, by bringing the Xiaomi Watch S5 to global markets. It is a relatively large 46mm premium, health and fitness-focused smartwatch that runs on HyperOS 3 and introduced advanced tracking and wellness features.
Xiaomi Watch S5 Specifications and Features
Starting with the design and display, the Watch S5 from Xiaomi features a 46mm 316L polished stainless steel frame, a 2.6mm bezel size and a stainless steel functional crown. It also comes with a dedicated Quick Access button just below the crown.
The smartwatch retains the circular design look of the Xiaomi Watch 5 in China, but comes with a smaller 1.48-inch AMOLED screen with 480 x 480 pixels resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. It also comes with over 150 watch faces, including static and animated ones.

On the software side, the Watch S5 is running HyperOS 3 out of the box. It comes with features like Xiaomi Smart Hub for interconnectivity options, ability to take watch screenshots and a dedicated Wrist Mode.
Underneath, while Xiaomi has not revealed the chip it is running on, the brand does confirm the presence of a large 815mAh battery which can deliver up to 21 days of battery life. It can last for up to 14 days with normal usage and up to 9 days with EOD enabled.

The Xiaomi Watch S5 is also packed to the brim when it comes to health and wellness features. With over 150 sports modes and advanced activities like cycling, hiking and swimming, the smartwatch is capable of capturing data for almost every activity.
It also includes the full range of health and wellness sensors like 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 sensor, stress monitoring, Menstruation tracking and more. The watch also features a dedicated Skiing Mode and Fall Detection support.

Moreover, this is the first Xiaomi smartwatch to come with dual-band five system GNSS positioning support which enables precision tracking. Other than that, it also brings support for gesture and hand tracking, along with a professional outdoor workout mode with advanced data tracking.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4 with calling support, a built-in microphone, a speaker, GPS, e-SIM, NFC and integration with the Mi Fitness app.
Pricing-wise, the Xiaomi Watch S5 comes in Ceramic Blue, Jungle Green, Black and Silver colourways. While the former two options are priced at 199.99 euros (approximately Rs 22,500), the latter two cost 179.99 euros (approximately Rs 20,000).
