Summary

  • According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9500 scored 4,007 in Geekbench single-core and 11,217 in multi-core.
  • In comparison, the Apple A19 achieved 3,608 in single-core tasks and 8,810 in multi-core workloads.
  • Overall, the Dimensity 9500 appears 11% faster in single-core tasks and about 27% faster in multi-threaded tasks, compared to the Apple A19.

In 2025, MediaTek is claiming big jump in CPU and GPU performance and challenging both Apple and Qualcomm in the chip race. MediaTek just launched its flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset and it's already taking on Apple's latest A19 processor. So to find which mobile processor delivers better performance across Geekbench and other benchmarks, we have compared the Dimensity 9500 and A19 in this detailed article.

At the launch event, MediaTek announced that the Dimensity 9500 scored 4,007 in single-core and 11,217 in multi-core on Geekbench. By comparison, Apple's A19 processor, running on the iPhone 17, achieved 3,608 in single-core and 8,810 in multi-core.

If we consider MediaTek's official benchmark result, the Dimensity 9500 is 11% faster in single-core tasks and about 27% faster in multi-threaded tasks. Given that the Dimensity 9500 packs eight CPU cores, it leads by a substantial margin in multi-core workloads as the Apple A19 features only six CPU cores.

With all that said, remember that the figures are provided by MediaTek. We will independently test the Dimensity 9500 in the coming days to verify the CPU performance on an actual consumer device.

Dimensity 9500 vs Apple A19: Specs Comparison

Both processors are built on TSMC's refined 3nm (N3P) process node. MediaTek has adopted Arm's new C1-series CPU cores and Apple has included its custom CPU cores. The Dimensity 9500 can reach up to 4.21GHz while the Apple A19 touches 4.26GHz.

As for graphics, the Dimensity 9500 brings the powerful Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU and Apple has integrated its 5-core GPU on the A19. Both GPUs support hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
