Summary

  • Realme phones have secret test codes that can be entered in the Phone app to access engineering modes, hardware tests, and device information.
  • The most commonly used codes are *#06# to check the IMEI number and *#899# to enter engineering test mode.
  • You can also use the *#800# test code to open the hidden Feedback menu on their Realme smartphones.

Need to check the IMEI number, SAR value or test your Realme phone for issues? You can do all that directly from the Phone app by simply dialling a Realme secret code. It doesn't require rooting, third-party apps, or prior technical knowledge. So, if you want to learn your phone's IMEI number or check for hardware issues, then keep reading to find out about all working Realme secret codes and what each one actually does.

What are Realme Secret or Test Codes?

Realme secret codes are a combination of asterisk (*), hash (#) and numbers that unlock a hidden menu, option or details about the device. This can be anything from software information to device ID, IMEI number, or the Engineer mode, which lets you check the hardware of your Realme phone. These are not accessible from anywhere else, and that is why they are considered secret. Users need to enter the code in the dialler to open these hidden options.

Top Realme Test Codes

For this list, I browsed through hundreds of codes across blogs, Realme forums and Reddit threads. Then tested them across 4 generations of devices, including the Realme 16 Pro PlusRealme GT 6Realme 7 and Realme 2 Pro. This is to make sure we are not missing out on older devices since several codes stopped working after the Android 10 update on Realme UI.

*#07#Check SAR / RF value
*#899#Opens Aftersale Engineering mode (testing hardware issues)
*#*#3932433284#*#* View phone region information

Some of these codes might be similar to OnePlus secret codes as well as Oppo check codes because they're closely tied to one another.

Realme Engineering Mode Explained

Realme UI has a hidden diagnostics menu to check different parts of your phone, and it is called 'Engineering mode' or 'AfterSale Page'. You can enter it by dialling the secret test code *#899# on the Phone app. Here, you will find options for automatic and manual testing.

Use either of these to check for any hardware problems, whether it is dead pixels, white dot issue on display, buttons, camera, or any other part. Here's everything you can test in Engineering mode:

  • Screen colour
  • Touch responsiveness
  • Camera sensors and flash
  • Vibration, speakers and mic
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS antennas
  • Sensors and buttons

Realme Device Info Codes

Device info codes help you check the hardware details, status and model of your device. The most popular of them is *#06#, which is a standard code across all Android and iPhones. It lets you check the IMEI number of your Realme phone, which can be used to verify the phone's authenticity, check warranty status, or report a lost or stolen device. Here are some other device info codes like this:

Realme Hidden Menus Code

Other than the engineering mode, you can also enter *#800# to open the hidden Feedback menu. Here, you can provide feedback about any issues you are facing with the device. For example, you can record a 15-second screen recording to show the problem with the phone. It also shows a list of your previously submitted responses as well.

That about wraps up this list of Realme secret test codes. While you won't find the need to use these codes often, they can be very useful whenever the need arises, especially in emergencies. I have made sure to test all these codes out and check whether each one is working or not, since most codes have been disabled over the years. I hope I provided all the necessary information and you found this guide helpful.
