Following the standard Tecno Pova 8's launch back in June, a more premium Pova 8 Pro is coming to India on August 18 at 12:00 PM IST. The brand has confirmed the phone will arrive in green, white, and black colourways, while retaining its sibling's bold transparent design and the Alive Matrix Display.

For those unaware, the Alive Matrix Display is a secondary rear panel that shows patterns, alerts and notifications. It's similar in concept to the Glyph Matrix on the Nothing Phone 3 and Nothing Phone 4a Pro.

Now, since the Pova 8 Pro has already launched in markets like Thailand, its global spec sheet gives us a good idea of what to expect. It includes a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.

The phone is also powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. There's also a 50 MP Sony LYT-700C main camera with OIS and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra and iQOO Z11s China launch is also set for August 18 at 7:00 PM CST (or 4:30 PM IST). iQOO has confirmed the Neo 11 Ultra will pack a massive 9,100mAh battery, a 6.8-inch 2K display and Dimensity 9500M chipset. The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is also confirmed to come in white, black and a Wind Chaser colourway.

A fresh leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has since filled in the rest of the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra spec sheet, pointing to a 144 Hz 2K display with 1,000 nits of brightness. The phone could also feature a 50 MP main camera with an 8 MP ultrawide lens, as well as IP68/IP69 durability.

Alongside it, the iQOO Z11S is confirmed to feature a 10,000mAh battery and a 6.83-inch 144 Hz display with 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The phone will also sport a 50 MP primary camera and will come in white and pale green colourways.

Rounding off the week, the iQOO Z11 India launch date is confirmed for August 20. iQOO has revealed a redesigned back panel for the Indian variant, featuring a Google Pixel 10-like horizontal camera bar with a circular LED ring light, paired with a curved AMOLED display on the front.

The phone will be offered in deep green and dark blue colourways, reportedly to be called Aurora Green and Celestial Blue.

Notably, the Indian iQOO Z11 is tipped to differ from its Chinese counterpart in a few key areas, with reports pointing to a Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset instead of the Dimensity 8500 used in China.

The Indian variant is also said to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K 144 Hz curved OLED display instead of a flat 165 Hz panel. It could also pack a battery between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh with 90W fast charging.

With four smartphone launches spread across India and China this week, expect more concrete details to trickle in as each date approaches. Stay tuned for all the updates.
