Caviar is a brand synonymous with luxury smartphones, and the brand is infamous for taking smartphone customisation to unprecedented levels. The brand took luxury buyers by storm when it came up with an iPhone with a meteorite at the back, and it has now unveiled a new phone design which integrates Swiss watches into the rear of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Just When We Thought iPhone's Lock Screen Clock Wasn't Enough

Caviar has announced a new project where it has developed a new design on top of Apple's latest iPhone 17 Pro Max. The design incorporates a dial at the back of the phone with a proprietary mounting system called "Watch Vault". In this, users can add their watch bodies to evoke the feeling of luxury right at the back of the phone.

It's a mechanical framework which is toolless and uses a short thread ring and a simple twist lever, allowing users to detach the watch body from the phone and transition it to a standard wrist strap. The interior of the phone's mounting cavity consists of a soft lining to make sure the watch doesn't end up getting scratched.

Besides, when the owner chooses to wear the watch, the smartphone's rear will not remain empty. Instead, Caviar's customisation package includes a decorative metal plate which can be inserted to maintain the phone's high-end aesthetic.

And it cannot be a Caviar-designed smartphone without mentioning the word "Gold". The collection arrives in two configurations – Celestial edition which incorporates a Patek Phillipe Celestial watch surrounded by 18-karat white gold, diamonds and blue enamel and a Muonioinalusta meteorite which carries a staggering $215,360 price tag (approximately Rs 2,00,00,000).

A second primary model houses an IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Squelette within a white gold chassis, and uses orange sapphires and white diamonds designed to complement the watch's exposed tourbillon. And for fans of horology who already own a 42mm or 44mm watch, Caviar also offers chassis manufacturing.

This way, the firm designs a bespoke chassis to fit a buyer's timepiece. The brand has released concept renders that show the designs for Rolex and Jacob & Co. models. The pricing on these is a bit generous a, with an Omega Titanium variant costing $49,640.
