Nothing is no stranger when it comes to audio products. The first-ever product from the London-based tech brand was the Nothing Ear (1) wireless earbuds. And now, after almost five years, Nothing is ready to expand its audio lineup with its first over-ear headphones– the Nothing Headphone (1).
At the SXSW London event on June 5, Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei said onstage that its inaugural over-ear headphones will be launched on July 1, 2025. The new audio product will arrive alongside the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3).
Just stepped off stage at @sxswlondon, a massive thanks to @lucyhedges for hosting the session.

We discussed how we’ve built @Nothing by breaking the rules:

This comes after the brand officially revealed they are making over-ear headphones in a YouTube video last month. And now, we also know they will be called the Nothing Headphone (1) — very on-brand from Pei.
What to expect from the Nothing Headphones (1)
To remind you, Nothing recently partnered with the British audio company KEF. So, it is fair to assume that the Headphone (1) will be the first child born out of this strategic partnership.
Apart from this, nothing is known about the headphones right now. Nothing has yet to reveal the design, which will likely have transparent bits, and specifications of its headphones. However, the Headphone (1) will likely arrive as Nothing's competitor to the Apple AirPods Max, which was namedropped in the announcement video.
If we go by the specifications of the AirPod Max, we can expect Nothing's headphones to boast specs like dynamic drivers, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), spatial audio, and KEF audio tuning.
As for the pricing, leaker @MysteryLupin on X recently shared that the Headphone (1) will cost $299 (approximately Rs 25,500). That makes it the most premium offering in Nothing's audio lineup.
So, are you excited to see what Nothing Headphone (1) will bring to the table? Are you confident that it could rival AirPods Max?
