Summary

  • Honor 500 series could launch in China by the end of this year, presumably in December 2025.
  • Honor 500 Pro could feature a 6.6-inch display and might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
  • The smartphone could arrive with a 200 MP primary rear camera and an iPhone-like design.

Honor is prepping to launch a handful of new phones, including the Magic 8 series. However, a new leak suggests that the brand could launch the Honor 500 series. The leaked information suggests it will be a flagship smartphone that could launch by the end of this year itself.

The Honor 500 and 500 Pro could be China-exclusive

According to Smart Pikachu on X, the Honor 500 series will feature a 6.6-inch display and a 200 MP primary camera. The leak also suggests that the screen will be wider with an iPhone-like design and textured back.

For those unaware, the Honor 400 series consisted of Honor 400 and 400 Pro and featured a 6.5-inch OLED display. While the standard model featured Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the Pro came with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

We expect the Honor 500 Pro to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite and the Honor 500 to get the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which has succeeded the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. As for the other specifications, we can expect the smartphones to feature slightly bigger batteries

The tipster reveals that Honor could launch the phones by the end of 2025, so it's fair to expect a November or December 2025 launch. However, we're not sure if the firm plans to sell the 500 series outside China.

Considering the Honor 400 and Honor 300 never made it out of China, it seems implausible. However, the firm may change its mind, so stay tuned as we break it to you first when or if that happens.
