It has only been a few months since the Honor Magic 8 series dropped, and we are already hearing rumours about the Honor Magic 9 series. Recently, the regular Honor Magic 9 specifications surfaced online, and now a new leak has revealed stylus support for the entire lineup.
Magic 9 Tipped to Be Honor's First Slab Phone with AI Stylus Support
As per prolific tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, Honor is prepping the Honor Magic 9 series, including the all-new Honor Magic 9 Pro Max, with AI stylus support. It is aimed at enhancing productivity, and Honor has seemingly optimised it to work with various third-party apps.

If true, this will make the Honor 9 series the first slab-like Honor phone to feature a dedicated stylus support. So far, this implementation has been reserved for the brand's folding phones like the Honor Magic V6.
Hence, there is a possibility that the Honor Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro and Magic 9 Pro Max will feature a thin digitiser layer underneath to enable stylus input. It is unclear if Honor is prepping an entirely new stylus from the ground up or if it will support the Honor Pen Pro launched with the Magic V6.

This will bring Honor into the list of limited smartphone manufacturers who offer stylus support with their non-folding phones. A good example is the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Motorola G Stylus 2026 smartphones.
As for specs, the standard Honor Magic 9 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, bring a 6.36-inch OLED display, a 200 MP main camera and an 8,000mAh battery. The Magic 9 Pro Max leaked details on the other hand, point to a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO display, dual 200 MP cameras and the same 8,000mAh battery.
That said, while many leaks about the Magic 9 series are out, there is no official confirmation from the brand yet. Given that the Magic 8 series launched in October 2025, there is a good chance the Magic 9 lineup will also follow a similar launch timeline, that is, Q4 2026. Hence, there is still plenty of time left for official details to emerge. So, stay tuned.
