In celebration of India's 79th Independence Day, OTT platform, JioHotstar has announced "Operation Tiranga" to bring an exciting offer for Indian citizens. As part of the deal, everyone in the country will be able to enjoy 24 hours of access to the entire content library on the platform for absolutely free.

As part of this initiative, movies, TV shows and every form of sports content will be available to stream without needing to subscribe to JioHotstar. With Operation Tiranga, the platform wants to pay tribute to India's courage, sacrifice and unity via similarly themed titles like Salakaar, Sarzameen, and Special Ops.
There is even a new splash screen on both the Android and iOS apps with the OTT platform's logo in the tricolour and the "Proudly Indian" tagline.
The offer is currently live for every resident of India. Speaking on this offer, Minakshi Achan, Head of Brand & Creative, JioStar said that this initiative is part of India's freedom to choose what to watch, when to watch and how to watch.

The platform also uses the colours of the Indian flag to guide viewers to a list of aptly-themed curated contents. For instance, with Saffron, users are urged to watch titles like Take Off, Madras Cafe, and IB71, which speak of courage and heroism.
Similarly, White indicated sacrifice and resilience, while Green is used to depict cultural legacy and pride.
