We are almost nearing the time when MediaTek unveils its new flagship mobile processor. The next entrant to the list is the Dimensity 9500 which is reportedly launching in the fourth week of September 2025.
Leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) took to Weibo to share the tentative launch date of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. It is likely getting scheduled to release on September 22, 2025.

If true, this means that MediaTek is planning to undercut Qualcomm by launching the Dimensity 9500 a day before the official Snapdragon Summit on September 23, 2025. The event is expected to see the unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile platform.
While we don't think an early Dimensity 9500 launch will steal 8 Elite 2's thunder, it will very well make MediaTek's offering the first official flagship-grade processor in 2025. The SoC is expected to launch with up to 40% performance and efficiency gains over the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.
A previous report suggested that the SoC will likely be able to breach the 100 FPS barrier with ray-tracing turned on. Even the early benchmark reports hint at impressive gains over its predecessor.

The chipset managed to achieve over 3,900 points in single-core and 11,000 points in multi-core in Geekbench 6.0. It even achieved an OpenCL score of 15,717 points.
In terms of its CPU and GPU configuration, the mobile chipset is expected to bear an 8-core architecture fabricated using TSMC's 3 nm process node. The processor is expected to feature a Cortex-X930 prime core with 3x Cortex-X9 cores and 4x Cortex-A7 cores.
The GPU is said to be the Immortalis Drage GPU. Apart from this, the SoC will bring 16 MB of L3 cache, LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1 RAM and storage support and up to 100 TOPS NPU.
With that said, since nothing is official yet, take these revelations with a pinch of salt. Once launched, we can expect the SoC to make its way to consumers via the Oppo Find X9 series smartphones and the Vivo X300 lineup.
