Motorola is all set to introduce the X70 Air by the end of October 2025. The company has confirmed the launch of its ultra-thin smartphone in China and from the looks of it, it aiming to give Apple and Samsung a tough competition in the premium lightweight segment.
Moto X70 Air boasts an impressively thin profile
Motorola took to its official Weibo handle to tease the Moto X70 Air in a teaser that highlights its lightweight design. The device showcases a flat display with what seems like a metal frame and dual rear cameras. Additionally, the teaser image also reveals a green finish with orangish camera accents.
Now, these camera module accents are something that we saw in the Motorola Edge 70 design leak recently, which was also said to arrive as an "impossibly thin" phone.

As for the Moto X70 Air, while Motorola has not revealed any specifications as such, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This chipset features Qualcomm's self-developed Oryon CPU architecture, making it seem mostly a rebadged Snapdragon 8 Elite on paper.
Additionally, the brand is also focusing on its "Air with AI" tagline with the Moto X70 Air, which could suggest some AI-powered features injected into the camera and other sections of the UI itself.
There's no doubt that the iPhone Air has inspired some brands to take on more ambitious projects and the Moto X70 "Air" is a good example of this. It will be interesting to see how Motorola positions its Air in a market that's already seeing a steady rise in slim and trim flagships.
Expect a concrete Moto X70 Air launch date in China in the coming days. While global launch is very likely, an India launch seems quite unlikely.
