Summary

  • Motorola has listed the Moto Edge 70 on its official UK, Polish and German websites.
  • The official landing pages confirm that Edge 70 will come with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 50 MP cameras and 4,800mAh battery.
  • Its 12 GB + 512 GB variant has been listed for 700 pounds (approximately Rs 82,000).

In a move just short of an official launch, Motorola has listed its upcoming Moto Edge 70 on its official UK, Polish and German websites, revealing its full specifications and European pricing.

Motorola Edge 70 could soon take on slim phones globally

For those unaware, the Edge 70 is a rebadged Moto X70 Air launched in China with the same specifications. The product page of the Edge 70 is now live on the Motorola UK and other European websites, showcasing every bit of information about the device. This includes the specifications, pricing and colour options.

The Edge 70's main selling point is its slimness. At 5.9 mm thickness and 159 grams weight, it's one of the slimmest phones the brand has launched in a while. The last slim device from Motorola was the Z2 Force, which was 6.1 mm in thickness.

Durability-wise, the device is made from aircraft-grade aluminium, and the front is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The body is certified for MIL-STD-810H standards. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 12 GB RAM. The device runs Android 16 with Moto's Hello UI on top.

The display is a 6.67-inch pOLED unit with a 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Powering the internals is a 4,800mAh battery that can charge at 68W via wired and 15W via wireless charging.

There are dual rear cameras with the primary being a 50 MP main and the secondary being a 50 MP ultrawide snappper. The front boasts a 50 MP camera as well.

The Moto Edge 70 arrive in three colours – Gadget Grey, Lily pad and Bronze Green. As for the pricing, which has been removed as of writing this, the 12 GB + 512 GB was listed for 700 pounds or 800 euros (approximately Rs 82,000).

The smartphone is available for pre-order, and early buyers can avail a promotion where they can choose a gift, including Moto Tags, Moto Buds Loop, Moto Watch Fit or a 68W charger for free.

Considering the device has already appeared on Motorola's European storefronts, it won't be too long before the device arrives on the Indian shores. We don't know the pricing yet, but considering the Edge 60 Pro launched for Rs 29,999, we expect the Edge 70 to launch at around the same price or slightly higher. But could it beat the best smartphones under Rs 30,000? Only time will tell.
