Nothing is rolling out a new update to Essential space, which leverages one of Android's features to easily share and get a summary of the content. The feature is now rolling out to Essential Space via an update on the Google Play Store.
Essential Space now allows users to directly share content to it
Nothing's Essential wing took to its official X handle to reveal that the Essential Space now integrates with Android's share sheet feature. Using the same, users can now share content directly to Essential Space, eliminating the need for manually copying and pasting content to Essential Space.

Besides, users can also simply copy the link to an article and visit Essential Space. They will then be prompted to paste the contents from the clipboard and Essential Space will sum it up for them. These features make content aggregation within the app a pretty seamless process.
In our testing, Essential Space pops up in the style sheet in almost every app. Nothing says users can send URLs, images, text or even audio files by tapping on the Essential Space icon in the share sheet.

However, in our brief testing, we found out that it works specifically well with articles. For example, when we tried sharing an Instagram post with an image, it summed up the post's caption, which did not have enough context. Therefore, the summary was completely unrelated to what the post wanted to convey.
To reiterate, the update is rolling out via the Google Play Store. The app should auto-update if users have automatic updates enabled. If not, they can manually go to the Essential Space app listing and update it to the latest version.
Not too long ago, Nothing also rolled out the Essential Recorder shortcut to the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, where users can start recording using the essential key with their devices facing downwards. With Nothing betting big on AI with their Essential branding, we expect the firm to roll out more features very soon.
