The OnePlus 16 is in the news again as new leaked specifications have surfaced online, giving us a clearer picture of the upcoming flagship phone. Previous rumours suggested that the OnePlus 16 could get a 200 MP camera upgrade, and the latest leak backs that claim with a 3x optical telephoto and a 185Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus 16 Could Feature a Super High Refresh Rate and Major Camera Upgrades
The latest leak comes from trusted tipster Smart Pikachu, who took to Weibo to share some new details about the device. According to their post, the OnePlus 16 could come with a 185Hz refresh rate, which is a step up from the 165 Hz refresh rate on the OnePlus 15.

Additionally, the leak also suggests that the phone could arrive with a 200 MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom. Now, this falls in line with a previous OnePlus 16 camera leak, which hinted at an upgraded setup. As per previous leaks, the OnePlus 16 could borrow Realme GT 8 Pro's 200 MP camera.
Smart Pikachu also dropped a mention of a dedicated AI button, which could be the Plus key that triggers the MindSpace AI feature on OnePlus devices.
OnePlus 16 Specifications (Leaked)
Besides the display and cameras, the OnePlus 16 is rumoured to come with the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor paired with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It will feature a flat 1.5K resolution OLED display, a 9,000mAh battery capacity, which is the same as the OnePlus Nord 6. Details about its max supported wattage are still foggy, but we can expect it to support at least 100W.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 16 could fix the imaging problems of the OnePlus 15 with a 50 MP main + 200 MP periscope + 50 MP ultrawide setup at the back. But that is almost all the specifications we have on the OnePlus 16. We will learn more about the device as more details surface online as we inch closer to the launch, which should be sometime around Q3 or early Q4.
