Oppo has been teasing the Reno 16 series for India over the past week, revealing the design and key features of both the Reno 16 and Reno 16C. The only missing piece was the launch date and the company has now confirmed that smartphones are arriving as early as next week.

Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16C India Launch Set for July 2

Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16C  will launch in India on July 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST.  Both phones will be sold in the country via Flipkart and the official Oppo India website. Interested users can pre-reserve the phone for just Rs 9 right now.

The brand is offering a Privilege Pack for the Reno 16 series (here) and it includes a free pair of Oppo Enco Buds 3 Pro costing Rs 3,499, an official transparent case worth Rs 999, a Rs 800 exchange coupon and a Rs 1,000 flat discount for Oppo Pad SE.

Moreover, alongside the Reno 16 series, Oppo is also bringing the Enco Air 5 TWS earbuds and Oppo Bubbles to India. While the Enco Air 5 launch was recently teased for India, Oppo Bubbles is confirmed to launch as a snap-on/wireless circular accessory, designed to display photos, videos and act as a selfie mirror. It will bring a circular AMOLED display and a 550mAh battery inside.

Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16C Design and Specifications

While both phones are launching next week, Oppo has already shared several of their details. The brand revealed Reno 16 series design and specifications last week, confirming the presence of the same 3D Holographic back design as the Reno 15 lineup.

Both phones will feature a 3D Pop Planet Design in Starry White, Twilight Violet and Stellar Purple colourways. The brand is using a dual-layer optical structure and a micro-lens array to create a stereoscopic floating planet effect beneath the glass back.

In terms of specs, the Reno 16 will feature a 6.32-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz AMOLED display, while the Reno 16C is set to get a larger 6.57-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz AMOLED panel. Both phones will feature slim and uniform bezels and weigh less than 200 grams.

Moreover, this is also the first Reno series smartphones to feature the Snap Key, which we have seen on the Find X9 series, including the Find X9 Ultra. Aside from that, the Rebno 16 series is also confirmed to get comprehensive IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings and an aerospace-grade aluminium body.

As for the rest, they are tipped to ship with ColorOS 16.1 update out of the box. Battery and processor-wise, the Reno 16 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and pack a 6,700mAh battery. The Reno 16C could get the Dimensity 7300 chipset and a smaller 6,500mAh cell capacity.

Oppo Reno 16 and Reno 16C Price in India (Leaked)

While Oppo has not hinted at the prices of the Reno 16 series, credible tipster Sanju Choudhary claims that the Reno 16 will start at Rs 61,999 for the 8 GB+ 256 GB variant. Meanwhile, the Reno 16C is said to cost Rs 51,999 for the 8 GB + 128 GB model.

If true, the prices of the Reno 16 series will definitely be on the higher end, especially since options like the Vivo X200T and the iQOO 15R are already available at similar prices and with better hardware. However, given that the RAM crisis is in full swing, there is not much to complain about. We will know for sure next week when the lineup launches. So, stay tuned.
