If you've ever played Rainbow Six Siege on PC or console, you already know this isn't your typical run-and-gun shooter. Ubisoft's Rainbow Six franchise has built its reputation on slow-burn strategy, tight team coordination and a very high-stakes tactical gameplay. Now, that same DNA has officially landed on smartphones as Rainbow Six Mobile is live in India, bringing 5v5 tactical action to Android and iPhone users.
The game has gone live in India first today, on February 19, 2026, ahead of its scheduled global rollout on February 23, 2026. It's available to download as a free-to-play game on both platforms.
Ubisoft has deployed dedicated Mumbai servers for the India launch to ensure lower latency and smoother matchmaking. The early rollout is also expected to help the publisher test infrastructure at scale before the global player base joins in on the fun.
Rainbow Six Mobile Maps, Modes and Operators at Launch
Just like Siege, the mobile version features team-based objective gameplay where attackers and defenders clash it out. At launch, the game includes seven maps, namely Bank, Clubhouse, Villa, Oregon, Border, Restaurant and Summit.

These maps preserve core mechanics like destructible walls and strategic angles, allowing players to breach, fortify and flank just like in the original franchise. It's all just optimised for shorter mobile sessions now.
At launch, Rainbow Six Mobile is offering a growing roster of 27 operators, with Ubisoft planning to expand it further over time. Many beloved characters from Siege, from Ash and Mute to Smoke and Valkyrie, are available, each with unique gadgets and roles that shape how squads approach objectives.

Additionally, just like Siege, these operators bring their signature tools to the mobile arena. Besides, Ubisoft has also introduced mobile-focused onboarding systems to help new players grasp tactical Rainbow Six fundamentals. Seasonal content plans promise new operators and progression features throughout the year.
Designed specifically for phones, Rainbow Six Mobile includes customisable HUDs, accessible controls and on-screen assistance markers to help players read the action on smaller screens. Most importantly, controller support is also available for those who prefer a physical setup.

Core modes like Bomb and Team Deathmatch are live now, while the Ranked mode will go live with the global release so that players in all regions can start competitive matches at the same time.
Rainbow Six Mobile Minimum System Requirements
To run Rainbow Six Mobile, your Android phone needs to run on Android 9 or above. Meanwhile, iPhone users will need to run on iOS 16 or later, with an iPhone powered by the A12 Bionic processor or later. On our Android device (iQOO 12 running on Android 16), the game arrived as a roughly 2.5 GB update.

With its launch, Rainbow Six Mobile will butt heads with the likes of CoD Mobile, BGMI and other such titles that have been out for significantly longer. So, it will be interesting to see how Rainbow Six makes its mark on mobile.
One thing is clear, though, that if the title is indeed a success, it will position India as a key audience for Ubisoft's mobile esports ambitions as well. Besides, whether you're a Siege veteran or new to tactical PvP, the game's release marks a big moment for mobile gaming in India.
