Realme has officially taken the wraps of the much-awaited GT 8 lineup in China. The series, featuring the Realme GT 8 Pro and GT 8, pack top-tier displays, Qualcomm's latest and greatest chipset, large batteries and more. Here's a complete rundown of the Realme GT 8 series specifications, pricing and availability details.
Realme GT 8 Pro and GT 8 share a lot of key specs
Both the phones share the same 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3136 x 1440 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness. This is easily one of the brightest displays seen on a Realme phone to date. Additionally, the panels also support 10-bit colour depth and 3,200 Hz instant touch sampling rate, promising solid responsiveness and vivid colours.

The design language remains consistent across the two Realme GT 8 series phones as well, featuring curved glass panels and slim bezels. However, the GT 8 Pro takes things to the next level by offering swappable camera lenses, albeit it's purely aesthetic.
Besides, depending on the colour variant, the Realme GT 8 Pro measures up to 8.3mm in thickness and weighs about 218 grams. Meanwhile, the regular GT 8 is slightly lighter at around 209 grams.

Under the hood, both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS storage. The GT 8 Pro uses the faster UFS 4.1 standard, while the GT 8 sticks to UFS 4.0.
Out of the box, the Realme GT 8 lineup runs on the Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 update, making them the first phones to come with it. The Realme UI 7.0 roadmap for the Open Beta is also out and the Realme GT 7 lineup will be next in line to get the update.
Moving to the cameras, this is where the Realme GT 8 Pro and GT 8 start to differ. Talking about the Pro first, it features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, coupled with a 50 MP ultrawide lens. There's also a massive 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. At the front, there's a 32 MP selfie shooter.

On the other hand, the Realme GT 8 tones things down with a 50 MP primary rear OIS camera, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP telephoto sensor with 3.5x optical zoom. For selfies, it houses a 16 MP front camera.
Both phones also come with a dedicated Ricoh GR Mode for advanced filters and customisations for the best street photography experience. In addition, the phones can record 8K @ 30 FPS and 4K @ 120 FPS videos with advanced stabilisation, slow-motion and time-lapse modes.
Battery life is another major highlight of the Realme GT 8 lineup, with both phones packing a massive 7,000mAh cell. However, while the GT 8 Pro supports 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging, the regular GT 8 is limited to 100W charging and no wireless charging.

Both phones use a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. They also offer adequate connectivity options, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC.
Talking about the pricing, the Realme GT 8 Pro starts at 3,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 50,000). On the other hand, the GT 8 starts at 2,899 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 36,000). Both phones come in the blue, white and green colourways and are already up for grabs on the Realme China website.
