Galaxy A57 Could Run Much Cooler Thanks to Huge Vapour Chamber

The Samsung Galaxy A57's supposedly larger vapour chamber could reduce thermal throttling and help the phone run cooler than its predecessor, the Galaxy A55

Summary

  • The Galaxy A57 will feature a larger vapour chamber than its predecessors for better thermal management.
  • Despite the beefy cooling system, the phone will be just 6.9mm thin and weigh 179 grams.
  • Exynos 1680 could power the smartphone alongside One UI 8.5 and it's expected to get a price increase.

We've seen a barrage of Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 leaks and rumours suggesting improvements across cameras, battery, displays and performance. However, the latest information adds to the previous performance leaks and suggests the Galaxy A57 could run significantly cooler than its predecessor, thanks to a bigger Vapour Chamber.

Galaxy A57 to get a massive Vapour Chamber

A new batch of marketing materials shared by tipster Alfaturk on X provides a closer look at the internals of the Galaxy A57. The most notable improvement is a significantly larger Vapour chamber compared to the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A56. We can see from the images that the chamber is not just a tad taller but also a bit wider.

This could allow the Samsung Exynos 1680 chip inside the phone to sustain peak performance and prevent thermal throttling. This massive cooling surface can dissipate heat faster, letting the chipset cool down faster, improving high-end gaming performance and multitasking.

Surprisingly, this enhanced thermal management doesn't add any bulk. In fact, the Galaxy A57 is trimming down as the leaked ads showcase an ultra-slim 6.9mm profile and 179 grams of weight. This is despite the smartphone featuring (rumoured) a 5,000mAh battery, making it one of the thinnest A-series phones to date.

The previous Galaxy A57 images from a retail leak exterior were accurate, as this leak doubles down on Samsung's signature key island.  There are noticeably thinner bezels on the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Besides the Exynos 1680, the phone could be paired with 12 GB RAM and will reportedly launch with Android 16 based on One UI 8.5 out of the box.

However, these premium upgrades may hit the wallet harder as leaked pricing from Thailand points to a starting price of 16,999 Thai Baht (approximately Rs 48,000) for the base variant. The higher storage variant could command up to 19,999 Thai Baht (approximately Rs 57,000).

With official retail materials already out in the wild, a global launch announcement is expected imminently. Rumours point to an end-of-march release, while some suggest an April 2026 release. More information about the phone should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
