New details regarding Samsung's next-generation Galaxy Buds have emerged online, outlining the battery configurations for the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro. The leaks suggest considerable upgrades that could lead to better longevity on the Pro model.
The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro could get a larger battery
Folks over at Android Authority spotted code strings in the One UI 8.5 build and found that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro could feature a larger 57mAh (from 53mAh) battery in each earbud. The battery on the standard Buds 4 could be downgraded to 42mAh from 48mAh.

This could result in marginally better standalone battery life on the Pro model. As for the standard Samsung Galaxy Buds 4, reports indicate that the improved hardware efficiency could help offset this capacity drop, potentially maintaining a battery life similar to the previous generation.
As for the charging cases, they're expected to see minimal upgrades. According to Galaxy Club, the cases may receive a modest 3% increase in capacity, moving from a rated 500mAh to approximately 515mAh, which will typically be marked as around 530mAh.

So far, the Galaxy Buds 4 series is turning out to be a marginal upgrade in terms of key specifications. The potential design of the earbuds recently leaked, suggesting a revamped design with touch controls. The Buds 4 are expected to look the same as the Buds 4 Pro, and both could arrive in two colours: Grey and White.
The charging case is also expected to get a redesign, with the earbuds lying flat in the case. As for the launch date, the Galaxy Buds 4 series could launch at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, reportedly scheduled for February 25, 2026. More information should be revealed as we inch closer, so stay tuned.
