After the launch of its flagship smartphones earlier this year, Samsung continues to march forward with its mid-range smartphones. The brand launched a host of mid-range options, including the Galaxy A37 and A57, around a month ago and is yet again preparing to launch two new phones – the Galaxy M47 5G and Galaxy F70 5G.
Galaxy M47 5G and F70 Pro 5G One Step Closer to Launch in India
Spotted first by Gizmochina, the Galaxy M47 5G and F70 5G with model numbers SM-M476B/DS and SM-E476B/DS have appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards website, signalling their successful certification run and imminent launch.

While the listing does not explicitly state the names of the phones, previous Galaxy M47 5G IMEI database records have confirmed these models are Galaxy M47 5G and F70 Pro 5G.
In typical Samsung naming fashion, both the SKUs end with "DS", which stands for dual-SIM. It's a moniker that Samsung has been using for years at this point. While the BIS certification does not reveal any concrete specifications, the Galaxy M47 5G recently surfaced on Geekbench.

According to the listing, the Galaxy M47 5G could be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. Therefore, it's evident that the phone will be targeted toward budget buyers. It could combine 8 GB RAM with Android 16 and is likely to feature the latest One UI 8.5 out of the box.
That said, most tech watchers have pointed toward the two phones being the same. While the SKUs are different, the only difference is in the prefixes "M" and "E". This is a common practice for Samsung to sell these phones through different online retail partners. Therefore, there shouldn't be much difference between the two.
Not much is known about the exact release date or other specifications of these smartphones. However, their appearance on the BIS database suggests the launch could be imminent.
