Ever since the first Samsung Galaxy S26 leak arrived, the information had been all over the place. From a new Galaxy S26 Pro model to an iPhone-inspired design for the S26 Edge, the leaks have outed all sorts of claims. Now, a new revelation has surfaced regarding the upcoming smartphones, refuting a lot of the earlier leaks.
The Galaxy S26 Pro doesn't even exist
According to SamMobile, sources close to Samsung have revealed that there was never a Galaxy S26 Pro model. The claims that the compact Galaxy S26 will be rebranded to the Galaxy S26 Pro are completely untrue.

The publication claims that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 as the compact entry-point phone of the Galaxy S26 lineup. However, it will not carry any extra tags. The smartphone will directly succeed the Samsung Galaxy S25.
This comes as a big surprise, since all those leaks from the past six months did a pretty good job at convincing everyone that the Galaxy S26 Pro is happening. It was said to mimic Apple's iPhone naming scheme. Even official-looking Galaxy S26 Pro renders also made rounds on the internet.

However, looks like the idiom "take every leak with a pinch of salt" just turned true. This comes after we learnt that the Galaxy S26 Edge is cancelled due to poor sales. Hence, looks like we are back with the usual "Galaxy S" series contenders – Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
That said, we are not sure at the time of writing the reason for this widespread confusion. We urge everyone not to take any leaks and rumours at their face value. The upcoming Galaxy S26 series is reported to go official in January 2026. So, we advise all to wait for the actual launch event to happen before jumping to any conclusions.
