Samsung's official Unpacked event is just two days away, but it seems like retailers couldn't wait. In a massive breach of protocols, a user has managed to get his hands on a retail unit of the Galaxy S26 Ultra well ahead of its global debut. Following this, the user also demonstrated how the Privacy Display feature works.

Galaxy S26 Ultra features showcased early

A video that X user Sahil Karoul uploaded on Instagram shows what appears to be a legitimate retail box for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The user can be seen purchasing the smartphone from a retailer, which appears to be an African unit based on the "24-month warranty for Africa" sticker on the box.

The unit is a white Galaxy S26 Ultra, and following the purchase, the user has posted quite a few follow-up videos showcasing some of its prime features. One of them is the Privacy Display, which appears to be working as intended. It completely darkens the display when looked at from an angle, just as Samsung demonstrated in teasers.

Sahil also benchmarked his Galaxy S26 Ultra unit, which scored 3,720,219 points in AnTuTu, which is slightly low for a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered smartphone. However, considering it's an early retail unit, future updates should make the performance a bit better. The phone scores 3,648 and 10,898 points in single-core and multi-core on Geekbench.

Finally, the user also highlighted the lack of Bluetooth support in the S-Pen, which Samsung removed in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. There's a generous amount of hands-on footage on the user's X profile, which users can check out.

With the phone already in the wild, it confirmed Galaxy S26 Ultra's design and suggests Samsung has focused heavily on the display this time. All eyes are not on the Galaxy Unpacked event to hear more about this new screen tech and the rest of the specifications, so stay tuned.
