Samsung's yearly tablet refresh is due for 2026 and the next-gen models in line are the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. Ahead of that, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has emerged on Geekbench, giving us a closer look at its performance.
The Ultra model has been listed on Geekbench with the model number samsung SM-X946B. As per the benchmarking platform, the tablet has achieved 2,424 points in the single-core score and 8,446 points in the multi-core score.
Do note that the result is based on the newly announced Geekbench 7 platform and the test unit rocks 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 17, probably One UI 9.

The listing suggests the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will be powered by an octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 2.70 GHz, 3 cores clocked at 3.50 GHz and 1 core clocked at 4.21 GHz. This 4 + 3 + 1 CPU architecture points to the flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset.
This doesn't come as a surprise since, for the past two years Samsung has been relying on flagship Dimensity chips to power its tablets. The Galaxy Tab S11 series featured the Dimensity 9400+ processor (which is a slightly overclocked Dimensity 9400 chipset). Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup got the Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
Hence, it is only reasonable for the South Korean brand to stick with the current top-of-the-line Dimensity processor. Also, do note that since MediaTek has not launched a "Dimensity 9500+" chip, it makes Dimensity 9500 the next-gen SoC of choice.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Will Launch by 2026 End

While Samsung has not yet teased the Galaxy S12 Ultra officially, the brand recently confirmed the Galaxy S12 series launch timeline. As per Samsung executive Daniel Araujo, the Galaxy S12 Ultra will launch "in the second half of 2026" due to the ongoing RAM crisis.
Based on previous launch cycles, we can expect the Galaxy Tab S12 series to debut sometime in September 2026. This year, Samsung could skip the standard Galaxy S12 and stick to the Galaxy S12+ and Galaxy S12 Ultra.

A recent Galaxy Tab S12+ BIS listing hinted at the tablet's India launch. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra CAD renders have managed to circulate online and both tablets seemingly retain the key design elements of the last-gen models, with a focus on making the new-gen models slimmer and lighter.
The Galaxy Tab S12 lineup is expected to retain all the signature Samsung tablet elements like a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and S-Pen support. The tablets are also expected to come with new and improved Galaxy AI features with One UI 9.
It is likely the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra will launch with hiked prices since the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Z Flip 8 prices in India were also steeply hiked. We will know for sure once more details emerge. So, stay tuned.
