Samsung is all but rumoured to unveil its answer to the Meta smart glasses very soon. We have already seen leaked renders for the Galaxy Glasses, the first Android XR-powered smart glasses. More details have leaked today, offering a closer look at the design, case, and features of the Galaxy Glasses.
Samsung Galaxy Glasses Hardware and Case Design Leaked
The leaks arrive courtesy of SammyGuru, who have managed to get their hands on the new Galaxy Glasses Manager app. This is the companion app that will be available to users to set up and manage their glasses.

Going through the setup process reveals the full design of the Warby Parker variant of the Galaxy Glasses and its carrying case. The case is shaped like a thick rectangular clamshell box, similar in design to TWS earbuds cases, rather than a traditional eyewear pouch. The exterior of the case houses a blue pill-shaped LED indicator to seemingly display the charging and battery status.
For those unaware, Samsung and Google have partnered with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to launch Android XR smart glasses. The Galaxy Glasses Manager app is seemingly similar to the Meta AI app but for Samsung-branded smart glasses.
As for the glasses itself, the Galaxy Glasses look heavily inspired by Ray-Ban Meta Glasses with two circular openings at the front – one housing a camera and the other a light sensor. The app further points to a physical on/ off switch on the glasses, alongside the design of the case.
Galaxy Glasses One UI XR and Software Features
On the software side, the leaked companion app confirms that the glasses run on One UI XR, built on Android XR. This aligns with previous reports that suggested Samsung's first Galaxy smart glasses are coming soon, with a heavy focus on an AI-first experience.

The main hub of the app displays the paired glasses and their battery level, alongside a toggle to auto-import captured photos and videos to phones. The menu also lists dedicated options for Cameras, Read notifications aloud, Advanced features, Accessibility, and Find my Glasses.
Digging deeper into the companion app also reveals that the Glasses tie deeply across the Galaxy ecosystem. Samsung appears to be developing a Glasses Controller app that comes preinstalled on Galaxy Watches. SammyGuru spotted code strings such as ACTION_GLASSES_START and ACTION_GLASSES_STOP, hinting that the Galaxy Ring will support gesture controls for the glasses.
Interestingly, the list of features also includes an AI assistant page, which will probably be used to switch between the latest Perplexity-powered Bixby assistant and Google Gemini. While it's great to see more choices, we hope it won't just be limited to those two assistants.
That said, this latest leak builds on months of speculation, including the leaked Ray-Ban Meta style design, and widespread speculation that Samsung could launch as many as three Android XR glasses in 2026.
While the exact launch date is currently unknown, Samsung may tease the Smart Glasses at its next Galaxy Unpacked event, rumoured to take place on July 22, 2026. The company has already started teasing its wide-screen Galaxy Z Fold 8 foldable phone that is expected to launch at the event.
