It goes without saying that Samsung's first-ever triple foldable is easily one of the most anticipated phones in history. Now, a new report reveals that we probably won't have to wait long to see the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold go official. This new report also provides key information about the design, battery size, display size and thickness of the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold could launch on December 5
The new report, originating from the Korean publication The Chosun Daily, suggests the Galaxy Z TriFold may launch on December 5, 2025. It will reportedly feature a 6.5-inch cover display, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but could unfold into a massive 10-inch inner display with a wide screen and a tablet-like aspect ratio.

With a third panel and a second hinge, Samsung is expected to make it remarkably thin at 4.2 mm when opened, matching the Galaxy Z Fold 7's thinness. When closed, it will reportedly measure around 14mm.
Powering the large screen could be a 5,600mAh battery split into three separate cells, with one in each segment of the phone. The report suggests Samsung will initially make the phone in limited quantities. The brand is expected to make only 20,000 to 30,000 units.

Besides, the Z TriFold could be available only in select markets, likely starting with South Korea and a handful of other Asian countries. The rumoured cost per unit could be $3,000 (approximately Rs 2,64,000).
The report doesn't reveal any key specifications about the Z TriFold. However, previous rumours suggest it will be powered by the older Snapdragon 8 Elite and boast 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. Additionally, the device may ship with One UI 8.5 features, based on Android 16, out of the box.

Amidst a myriad of leaks and rumours and the projected numbers, it's safe to say that Samsung doesn't expect the Z TriFold to sell in amazing numbers. However, it's clear that Samsung intends to make foldables the new face of the brand, which is why the firm plans to make the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 design better, making them slimmer and lighter.
Considering we're less than one month away from the potential launch, more information about the Z TriFold should start dropping soon, so stay tuned.
