One UI is arguably one of the most customisable Android skins as features like Good Lock truly make it a tinkerer's dream. Earlier this year, Samsung promised to bring a host of new Quick Settings customisations to one of Good Lock's QuickStar. While the initial update wasn't as good, the new, highly anticipated functions have finally arrived.
QuickStar brings new Quick Panel Customisations
Spotted first by SamMobile, the QuickStar module has been updated to version 10.0.04.26, and it adds an extensive amount of customisations to One UI's already customisable Quick Settings panel. The new features include the ability to create custom backgrounds for individual UI elements.

By navigating to the Edit Panel Style section, users can now pull images from their gallery to the brightness slider, tiles, volume slider and media player. Users can even assign unique background images or borders to individual quick settings toggles.
Beyond that, the update also adds new, powerful layout controls. Users can freely resize Quick Panel elements to fit their preferences. For example, shrinking the media player widget to save screen real estate. The update also brings a dedicated layout adjustment tool for landscape mode and introduces numerical values for the brightness and volume sliders.

However, it's worth noting that these values currently only display in black font, with no option to change the text colour just yet. Besides, another catch is that the update is currently One UI 8.5-exclusive, meaning it's only available on the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy A37, A57 and on the Galaxy S25 series in One UI 8.5 Beta.
While this is a huge win for all the customisation fans out there, Samsung has stepped back in other aspects, like custom fonts. The brand recently fixed a vulnerability, which makes it so that third-party fonts will not work on One UI 8.5. This means apps like zFont3 won't work anymore.

One UI 8.5 brings a host of customisations already, but it's great to see Samsung not holding back in terms of Good Lock modules, as they've always made One UI a joy to use. The brand should add more customisation features to Galaxy phones soon, with the upcoming One UI 9.0 release.
