After launching the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro, the Chinese electronics brand is now expanding its tablet portfolio with the Tab A1 Plus. The Tab A1 Plus has launched in the U.S, focusing on offering a large display and capable hardware at an aggressively affordable price point.
TCL Tab A1 Plus Specifications and Features
The TCL Tab A1 Plus features a stunning 12.2-inch 2.4K LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. To make content consumption more immersive, the tablet also offers a quad speaker setup.

As for its design, the tablet sports a full-metal unibody design with IP54-rated protection against dust and splashes, giving it a slightly more premium build than typical budget offerings.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. TCL is also offering virtual RAM expansion of up to 10 GB, while storage can be expanded up to 2 TB via a microSD card.
On the software front, the TCL Tab A1 Plus leans heavily into AI features. It comes with Google Gemini integration, alongside tools like Circle to Search, Writing Assist and real-time translation features.
TCL has also included productivity-focused additions like split-screen multitasking, floating windows and screen extension modes, making it suitable for light work and content consumption.

For optics, the tablet includes an 8 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front-facing shooter capable of 1080p video recording.
The TCL Tab A1 Plus also packs an 8,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support, which should comfortably handle a full day of mixed usage.
TCL Tab A1 Plus Pricing and Availability
The TCL Tab A1 Plus price is set at just $299 (approximately Rs 28,000), although it is currently being offered at a discounted price of around $229 on Amazon U.S. for a limited time. It can be purchased in a single Space Blue colour option.
With its large and crisp display, four speakers and AI-backed features at an affordable price, the TCL Tab A1 Plus appears to be defying the ongoing RAM crisis. Those who want a big-screen Android experience without stretching into premium tablet territory will find it quite enticing.
