Apple announced a record revenue of $94 billion for the month of June across the globe, with double-digit growth in emerging markets India. The company is planning to capitalize on this by planning to open new Apple Stores in the country by the end of this year.
During the quarterly earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company will open new stores in India later this year. Cook didn't share any details where these new stores will become official, neither did he confirm the exact timeline of the grand opening.

In retail, we continue to find opportunities in emerging markets to connect with even more customers. We recently launched the Apple Store online in Saudi Arabia, and we couldn’t be more excited to open new stores in the UAE and India later this year.
— Tim Cook, Apple CEO
Apple currently has two retails stores in the country at Mumbai and New Delhi. Last year, TechCrunch reported that the Cupertino company was then working towards opening four more retail stores in India. Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi–NCR (National Capital Region) were among the locations shortlisted for the new store openings.
Apple's expansion in India isn't just limited to retailing, the company recently extended its partnership with Tata for handling the iPhone repair wing in the country. The brand also announced that it's bringing the "Shop with a Specialist over Video" experience to users in India.
With that, India is only the second country to offer it since Apple first announced the service in March 2023. These developments follow the launch of the Apple Store app in India earlier this year.
