Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched a new budget prepaid recharge plan for users who want some extra data and entertainment for just Rs 35.
Vi Rs 35 Data Pack Benefits and Features
The new Vi Rs 35 pack is a data voucher, so it doesn’t come with any service validity of its own. Here’s what users get instead:
- 1 GB of data, valid for 7 days.
- Access to any two premium OTT apps through Vi Movies & TV, valid for 28 days.
- The OTT access works on mobile only.
Interestingly, the OTT benefits last longer than the data itself. So, even after the 1 GB of data runs out or expires after a week, users can keep using the two OTT apps for the full 28 days. That works out to just about Rs 5 per day for the data.
Since this is an add-on pack, users will need an active base prepaid plan on their Vi number to use it. Also, it doesn’t include any calling or SMS benefits.
As for the OTT apps themselves, Vi Movies & TV gives users access to several OTT platforms, including JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, ManoramaMAX and FanCode. Vi hasn’t shared the exact list of premium apps users can choose from with the Rs 35 pack yet.
For those who just want one or two OTT apps at a low price, the Rs 35 pack is a good deal. It is already listed on the official Vi website.
However, if you watch a lot of content, the Rs 200 pack offers much more data and OTT apps. Airtel also offers a similar Rs 200 pack with YouTube Premium and more than 20 OTT platforms.
Users can recharge the Vi Rs 35 pack through the Vi app, the Vi website or other recharge platforms.
