After months of leaks and rumours, Vivo has finally started revealing the official details of the upcoming X300 series. Today, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao confirmed details of the Vivo X300 Pro's camera, specifically the periscope telephoto unit.
Han Boxiao took to Weibo to reveal that the Vivo X300 will feature a custom-made 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. It is going to be the same 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB Thanos sensor that the brand will use for the standard Vivo X300 primary camera.

The Samsung-made Vivo -exclusive sensor will be part of an 85 mm periscope module and is going to feature a large 1/1.4 aperture. Boxiao claims that the X300 Pro will bring CIPA 5.5 level optical image stabilisation. This indicates that the telephoto unit will be able to capture sharp shots even at lower shutter speeds.
Moreover, continuing the brand's partnership with Zeiss Optics, Vivo is adding a new fluorite glass-made periscope lens to lower light dispersion. Additionally, the X300 Pro's Zeiss T* Lens coating and APO certification will help the smartphone reduce its chromatic aberration.

Apart from this, Boxiao claims that Vivo has worked closely with its partners to deliver faster focus tracking and image processing via hardware and software optimisation.
That said, the Vivo Product Manager has not commented on the other specifications of the smartphone. However, previous leaks indicate a 6.78-inch QHD+ 120 Hz quad curved AMOLED display for the smartphone similar to the 2024 Vivo X200 Pro.
Performance-wise, it is expected to draw its power from the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and get paired with a 7,000mAh battery.
