After a bunch of teasers, Vivo has finally launched the Y500 in China. It has gone official as a mid-range offering with noteworthy specs, including an 8,200mAh battery and an IP68 + IP69 rating. Here's a detailed rundown of the smartphone's specifications, pricing, and availability details.

Vivo Y500 Specifications and Features

One of the key highlights of the Vivo Y500 is its battery capacity. At 8,200mAh, this is the biggest battery on a Vivo smartphone yet. The brand has been able to achieve this thanks to the silicon-carbon battery technology. It is further complemented with 90W fast USB-C charging support.

Even though Vivo has packed such a massive battery inside the Y500, it is still slim at 8.23 mm. The device also weighs comparatively less at 213 grams. On the durability side, the device features a dual IP69 + IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and also features SGS Gold Label Five-Star Drop and Fall Resistance certification.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. It is paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device ships with Android 15-based OriginOS 15 out of the box.
