Xiaomi is preparing to roll out the stable version of HyperOS 4, its latest software update, starting next week. The first batch will include flagship Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, along with select tablets.
HyperOS 4 Stable Release Date Confirmed
Xiaomi took to a community post to confirm that the Android 17-based stable HyperOS 4 update will begin reaching eligible devices in China on October 15, following the closure of the internal beta recruitment programme on October 14, 2026.

Those who are on the beta can simply get the stable update over-the-air by heading over to Settings -> My Device -> System Version on their HyperOS 4 eligible devices.

When Will HyperOS 4 Arrive in India?
For now, Xiaomi's October 15 stable HyperOS 4 rollout schedule applies to China. The company has yet to confirm an official stable rollout timeline for global markets, including India. However, Xiaomi has already started rolling out its HyperOS 4 beta programme for Xiaomi 17T and other select devices globally.
Considering that the HyperOS 3 update started rolling out to devices only between late 2025 to early 2026, we could expect to see the HyperOS 4 update land in India sometime later this year. Meanwhile, eligible Xiaomi phones in the country could start getting the update from next year.
However, these are just assumptions and we can only hope that the brand offers some clarity on this soon after the HyperOS 4 stable rollout in China. Stay tuned for all the updates.
