Samsung phones run on One UI, and like many Android skins, they ship with a long list of hidden secret codes. These Samsung secret codes are used by engineers and technicians to test hardware, see device information and apply system-level functions. Most users never touch them, but they are very handy if you want to inspect your Samsung phone. So, if you want a list of Samsung secret codes that still work in 2026, this is the only guide you will need.
Samsung Secret Codes: What Works on One UI 6, 7, 8 and 8.5?
Before we get to the list, let's first understand some caveats. Samsung has been disabling some older secret codes with every One UI release. For instance, reset codes, CSC change codes and some engineering menus are no longer accessible because Samsung does not want users to wipe their phones by accident or mess with carrier configurations.

That said, on One UI 6, 7, 8 and the latest One UI 8.5, common diagnostic and information codes still work just fine. The hardware test menu (*#0*#) and software version (*#1234#) are reliable across the board. But reset codes like *#*#7780#*#* and *2767*3855# may not work on newer One UI versions. Put simply, if your Samsung phone is on the latest One UI 8.5 update, some of these secret codes may not trigger at all.
Apart from that, keep in mind that secret codes only work with the stock Samsung Phone app, not Google Phone or other third-party diallers.

Samsung Hardware Test Codes
Hardware test codes let you check physical sensors and components on your Samsung phone. You can check the display, touchscreen, mic, speakers and sensors. Here are all of these hardware test codes for Samsung phones.
Samsung Display Check Code
The Samsung display check code is *#0*#, and it's one of the most powerful diagnostic tools. Dial it in the Samsung Phone app, and the hardware test menu appears instantly. From here, you can tap on Red, Green or Blue to fill the screen with each colour, which is the fastest way to spot dead pixels or white spot on your screen.

In fact, this is the same diagnostic menu Samsung's own technicians use at service centres. For a step-by-step walkthrough, check out our detailed guide on how to check the display on Samsung phones.
Samsung Mic Check Code
To test the mic on your Samsung phone, dial *#0283#. This opens the audio loopback test menu where you will find a few options. You will see RCV_1stMic, which tests the bottom mic and earpiece, and SPK_2ndMic tests the top mic through the loudspeaker. On phones with three mics, SPK_3rdMic tests the rear noise-cancelling mic.

Tap on any option to start the loopback and then speak into the mic. Whatever the mic picks up plays back instantly through the speaker or earpiece, so you can immediately tell if the mic is damaged or just picking up noise. In case this code doesn't work, you can also use the Speaker and Receiver option inside the main *#0*# test menu.
Samsung Device Info Codes
Samsung device info codes display hardware and software details that Samsung normally shows under Settings > About phone. Here are the secret codes.
Samsung Serial Number Check
Go ahead and dial *#06# to instantly check your Samsung phone's IMEI, MEID and serial number. Note that this code works on every Android phone, not just Samsung. For software details, dial *#1234# to see the AP, CP, CSC and model details.

And for the manufacturing date, dial *#12580*369# and it shows the RF Cal date, which is when your phone's radio was calibrated at the factory. This date is quite handy if you want to check if your Samsung phone is actually new or not.
Samsung Mobile RAM Check Code
The Samsung mobile RAM check code is *#*#3264#*#*. It shows your RAM version and module details, including the manufacturer (usually it's Samsung or SK Hynix). That said, this code is hit or miss, as it didn't work on my phone running One UI 8. It works on older Samsung phones up to One UI 6, though.
Samsung Network Codes
Network codes give you a detailed view of tower information, signal strength and radio settings that the Settings app does not show. They are useful if you are troubleshooting a weak signal or want to know which band your phone is connected to.
Samsung VoLTE Enable Code
This is one of the most popular Samsung codes that lets you force-enable VoLTE on a Samsung phone. However, this code no longer works on newer One UI versions. The old method was to dial *#*#4636#*#* to open the Phone Information menu, where you could manually switch preferred network types and turn on VoLTE.

Samsung has now restricted this menu, and dialling this code shows nothing. For network information, *#0011# is the most useful alternative. It opens a service mode that shows real-time cell tower information, signal strength, network type and band.
Samsung Reset Codes
Reset codes on Samsung phones reset data, so be cautious while using them. They erase data and reinstall firmware, often without any confirmation prompt. Back up everything important before using these codes.
Samsung Factory Reset Code
The Samsung factory reset code is *#*#7780#*#*. If you dial this code, it triggers a soft factory reset that erases all user data, downloaded apps and accounts but keeps the system apps and firmware intact.
Note that this code has been disabled on most One UI 7, 8 and 8.5 builds to prevent accidental wiping. If the code does not work on your phone, the proper way is to go through Settings, which we have covered in our guide on how to reset a Samsung phone.
Samsung Master Reset Code
The Samsung master reset code is *2767*3855#. This one is much more dangerous than the factory reset code. Apart from wiping all your data, it also reinstalls the firmware from the recovery partition. Once you dial this code, there is no confirmation dialogue. The reset starts instantly, so DO NOT type this code unless you actually mean it.
Having said that, like the factory reset code, this one has also been blocked on most modern One UI builds. On older Samsung phones running One UI 4 or earlier, this code still works, though.
Samsung Battery Reset Code
The Samsung battery reset code is *#0228# (doesn't work on One UI 8 or later), but it's more of a battery diagnostic and calibration code than a true reset code. Dialling it opens the Battery Status menu which shows voltage, temperature, ADC value and current capacity.
The "reset" button only recalibrates the battery stats, which can help if your phone is showing inaccurate battery data. Note that this does not improve actual battery life; it just resyncs the software's reading of the battery. If you want to check actual battery health on a Samsung phone, go through our detailed guide.
How to Enter Samsung Secret Codes Safely
Using these codes is simple and straightforward. Here is how to enter Samsung secret codes to unlock hidden settings.
- Open the Phone app on your Samsung phone and go to the Keypad tab.
- Now, type the desired code, including all * and # characters.
- The menu will pop up instantly. You don't need to press the call button.
- If nothing happens, the code is likely blocked on your One UI version.

And that wraps up the complete list of Samsung secret codes that work in 2026. Most of them are perfectly safe and very useful for resolving display issues and checking a used phone before buying.
