One UI 8 is the next major update for Samsung phones, and it's already out with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The brand is now gradually expanding One UI 8 to select devices as part of its beta program, including the Fold, S and a handful of mid-range devices. If you want to experience all the new features beforehand, here's how to install One UI 8 Beta on supported Samsung Galaxy phones.
How to install One UI 8 Beta on Samsung Galaxy phones
One UI 8 Beta is currently in the testing phase for the Galaxy S25 series, S24 series and the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Samsung has already confirmed the beta rollout in India for Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and more device, and these devices are expected to get the beta update in September 2025.
While many Samsung phones are expected to get One UI 8, the Beta will roll out to only a few devices. If your Samsung phone is eligible, you can install it to try out all the new One UI 8 features. The official way to install One UI 8 Beta on your Samsung phone is by enrolling on the same using the Samsung Members app.
- Install the Samsung Members app from the Play Store, launch it and log in to your Samsung account that's associated with your device.

Alternatively, you can try installing the latest One UI 8 Beta build for your device via Android Debugging Bridge and Fastboot. However, we advise against it due to its risks and a few complexities.
For starters, installing a beta build via ADB doesn't automatically sign you up for future One UI 8 Beta releases. Therefore, you will need to manually flash each time you receive a new update, except for when the stable update is available.
Speaking of which, Samsung is expected to release the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25, S24, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 devices by the end of 2025. The Galaxy S23 series and Z Fold 5, Flip 5 may receive it in January 2026, followed by the brand's recently launched mid-range devices. We expect Samsung to roll out the update to all One UI 8 supported devices by Q2 2026.

For those unaware, One UI 8 is based on Android 16 and brings many new features to Samsung phones. Some of them include support for more apps in Now Bar, a Dynamic lock screen clock and customisations, a 90:10 split screen with multi-window feature on foldables and a Live audio eraser feature.
Besides, it's also packed with Android 16-specific features, including Advanced protection mode, better Predictive back gestures, Search in photo picker, enhanced Factory reset protection and camera API improvements. There's still time until the stable update rolls out, and Samsung could add more features in future versions, so stay tuned as we shall keep you updated about all the latest developments.
