Ever since the first iOS 26.4 Beta update dropped back in February 2026, iPhones have gained a lot of new features as well as "bugs". While most of them were either resolved or eliminated with subsequent iOS releases, the notorious iOS keyboard bug just refused to go away. Now, after almost a month, it stands finally resolved.

iOS 26.4's Biggest iPhone Keyboard Bug Fixed

Earlier today, Apple released the iOS 26.4 Release Candidate build for eligible iPhones. While it brought several new changes like 8 new emojis, advanced image creation, purchase sharing and more, it also highlighted a pointer stating "improved keyboard accuracy while typing quickly."

This brings much-needed relief to iPhone owners who have been plagued with broken iOS keyboards since the first iOS 26.4 update. Several users on X and Reddit have been talking about the issue for weeks, where the keyboard failed to repeatedly register certain characters when typing quickly.

This led to incomplete sentences, wrong phrases and even sometimes unintended text messages. Users who have Auto Correct enabled face ever bigger issues with broken spellchecks and keyword suggestions. Since the keyboard was skipping characters, the system was unable to predict the complete keyphrase or word correctly.

That said, the current fix is live for users with the iOS 26.4 Release Candidate update. It is expected to roll out to more users in the coming days, leading up to the stable launch of iOS 26.4.
