Apple's iPhone 18 lineup is far from being official but thanks to a new leak, we get an idea of the kind of display sizes the upcoming phones will feature. It looks like Apple doesn't plan on straying too far from what worked with the iPhone 17 series.
iPhone 18 series display sizes revealed
After Apple finally brought 120 Hz ProMotion displays to its entire iPhone 17 series last year, the brand appears ready to build on that foundation with the iPhone 18. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share that the standard iPhone 18 will feature a 6.27-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Dynamic Island, just like the iPhone 17.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Air 2 is tipped to sport a slightly bigger 6.55-inch panel with the same high refresh rate and OLED quality as the first iPhone Air. The real intrigue is with the Pro models, with the leak suggesting the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will stick with 6.27-inch and 6.86-inch displays, respectively. However, Apple may experiment with under-display Face ID technology.

Now, this could hide most of the facial recognition hardware beneath the glass, potentially replacing or minimising the current Dynamic Island cutout and lending the phone a cleaner look. The upcoming iPhone 17e, on the other hand, is expected to arrive with Dynamic Island.
If these rumours are accurate, Apple's display strategy could surely make the Pros stand out with a more refined display design. Or, it could backfire and fans could potentially miss the previous placement of the Dynamic Island.
As always with early leaks, nothing is confirmed until Apple makes it official, but the consistency of recent reports does hint at a potentially visually meaningful evolution of iPhone screens later this year.
