The Nothing Phone (4a) series is all set to launch in India on March 5, 2026, and the brand has been gradually peeling away the layers. After teasing that the upcoming phones will feature a new Glyph Bar tech, the brand has now shown off the standard Phone (4a)'s entire back design.
Phone (4a) blends transparency and industrial design, topped with a Glyph Bar
The official Nothing India X handle has shared the first confirmed look at the Nothing Phone (4a) with the "Built different" caption. It has been revealed in the White colour option and borrows the horizontal pill-shaped camera module design of the Phone (3a). However, it is more refined and neat-looking.

The poster reveals silver metallic accents throughout all around the camera island as well as the bottom half of the phone. However, there is a large white cutout at the bottom section, indicating the position of the battery cell.
There are 12 visible T-head screws, 7 at the top half and 5 at the bottom section. Also, the triple camera module is ever so slightly pushed upwards compared to the Phone (3). The most notable addition this time around is no doubt the all-new Glyph Bar, which takes up the extreme top-right position. It is made up of seven LED square cutouts with one in Red to indicate the recording light.

Each Glyph square contains 9 mini LED embeds, which can be controlled individually. The Glyph Bar is also confirmed to be 40% brighter than the Glyph Lights on the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. All in all, the Phone (4a) brings refinements to the Phone (3a)'s look, keeping the transparency and brutalist design cues intact.
Aside from this, in terms of specs, Nothing confirmed a while back that the Phone (4a) will come with upgraded UFS 3.1 storage, over Phone (3a)'s UFS 2.2 generation. The phone has also been teased to include Black, Blue, Pink and White colourways. As for the price, the Phone (4a) is among the first upcoming Nothing phones getting expensive in 2026 due to the ongoing RAM crisis.
That said, we are yet to see what the Phone (4a) Pro looks like. If we go by the Phone (3a) series, the only difference between the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro could be the design of the camera cutout. Rest, expect the brand to keep the core new identity intact across both smartphones.
