As India's smartphone and accessories market booms, one of its most talked-about brands is now sounding the alarm on a problem that extends far beyond its own product lineup. Nothing has now moved to address a surge in counterfeit products bearing its branding, warning that fake Nothing and CMF products are increasingly infiltrating local markets and online listings.
Nothing counterfeit products highlight growing fake smartphone market in India
In a recent YouTube video, Nothing India addressed the rising problem of counterfeit products in the country, with fake chargers, earbuds and accessories purporting to be official Nothing and CMF-branded goods.
The brand says its enforcement efforts, including seizures in partnership with local authorities, have uncovered over a thousand counterfeit units being sold via unauthorised channels. Many of these items mimic official design cues and branding, but fall short on performance, safety and support.
"Our community deserves the real thing," says Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and President, India at Nothing. He states how counterfeit gadgets not only violate intellectual property rights but also pose safety and quality risks to consumers.

Nothing's counterfeit crackdown arrives amid a rising wave of tech counterfeiting in India that doesn't even spare the biggest global names. In one notable case highlighted by a report, Delhi police uncovered a massive fake Samsung phone racket where more than 500 fake phones were seized.
As consumer appetite for accessories and phones from Nothing, Samsung or any other brands continues to grow, so will the incentive for counterfeiting to fill such gaps.
Nothing India has called on consumers to verify authenticity before purchase, urging buyers to rely on official retail channels and report suspicious listings. The brand's stance reflects not only brand protection but a wider call to action for the entire industry and regulators alike.
