OnePlus has officially rolled out the Android 17 Beta 3 update for the OnePlus 15, giving developers and enthusiasts another early look at Google's next Android release ahead of its stable rollout later this year. The new beta arrives just weeks after the company pushed the Android 17 Beta 2 update for the OnePlus 15.
OnePlus 15 Gets Android 17 Beta 3 Update
OnePlus took to its official community forums to share the announcement. Moreover, as always, it has also warned regular users against installing the update on their primary phone due to potential bugs, instability and unexpected behaviour during daily usage.
"You should understand there is a risk of BRICKING your phone, so read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you are doing. Please always back up your important data before flashing," the community post reads.

In the process, OnePlus has also listed a few key issues with the Android 17 Developer Preview that are yet to be addressed:
- Bluetooth usage issue
- Display abnormalities, lags and stutters may occur with some system apps
- Display abnormalities may offer when using the camera as well
- Some system apps can also get unresponsive and malfunction
- Some third-party apps can also run into compatibility issues
The brand hasn't listed the Android 17 Beta 3 changelog for the OnePlus 15, as it's mostly for developers who want to test their apps with the new version. "This is an early Android 17 build to give developers an early chance to test their apps with an upcoming Android version. As such, its main purpose is not to collect bugs," the post states.
However, thanks to previous reports, we are expecting the Android 17-based OxygenOS 17 update to bring major system fluidity boost.
Additionally, the brand does list some criteria for eligibility for the OnePlus Android 17 Beta 3 update. For starters, OnePlus 15 should be on the 16.0.5.700/16.0.5.703/Android 17 Beta 2 versions to get an upgrade to Android 17 Beta 3.
OnePlus 15 users in India and the EU can simply head over to the official community announcement post and download the Android 17 Beta 3 update package. Then, they can simply head over to Settings -> System & update -> Software update -> three-dot menu -> Local install.
