Just hours after reports suggested that OnePlus could be exiting Indian markets by 2027, the company has issued a response denying any such move is currently underway.

The original report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claimed that OnePlus is planning an India exit by 2027 as part of a broader global restructuring at Oppo. This followed recent rumours of OnePlus exiting US and European markets. However, according to a statement shared by media house @TrakinTech on X, OnePlus India has now directly addressed the report.

The statement reads, "OnePlus India continues to operate its business as usual, with all local operations on track. We urge the media to exercise restraint before amplifying unverified speculation."

It's worth noting that companies navigating major restructuring often avoid commenting on future plans directly, so this denial doesn't necessarily rule out changes further down the line.

For the moment, though, OnePlus is maintaining that it's business as usual in India, and buyers and fans of the brand can take some comfort in that, at least for now. Not to mention that the brand recently launched the OnePlus N6 in India and has already started teasing the OnePlus N6x launch in the subcontinent. So, the brand's phone launches seem to be on track as usual.

Whether this remains the case as Oppo continues restructuring its operations to combat the ongoing RAM crisis is something worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
