OnePlus has announced a major expansion of its after-sales service network in India, allowing users to get their smartphones repaired at Oppo service centres starting April 2026. The move will increase the brand's service footprint by 50%, taking the total number of authorised centres from around 400 to over 600 across the country, including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
OnePlus Taps Oppo’s Service Network to Expand Reach
Instead of building new standalone facilities, OnePlus is leveraging Oppo's existing service infrastructure to scale quickly. This means users will be able to walk into nearly Oppo centres for repairs, with access to genuine parts, trained technicians and standardised service processes. The expansion is expected to significantly improve accessibility and turnaround times, which are two areas where users in smaller cities have often faced challenges.

The timing of this announcement is notable, as it comes amid ongoing speculation about OnePlus' global future. Recent reports suggested that OnePlus could shut down operations globally. Besides, previously, reports of OnePlus being dismantled were also dismissed by the brand, calling them false and misleading.
Then, earlier this week, OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu resigned and that further fueled the already heated rumour of the brand shutting down soon. Well, against it all, the OnePlus India service expansion seems like a clear intent to strengthen its presence in India rather than retreat. By tapping into Oppo's widespread offline network, OnePlus is optimising operational costs significantly.
India remains one of OnePlus' most important markets and improving service reach could play a crucial role in rebuilding consumer trust. While questions around OnePlus' long-term global strategy persist, this move makes it clear that the brand is here to stay in India.
