Oppo's next smartphone series, Find X9, is expected to launch later this year, and many details have already surfaced. The latest one being Oppo eyeing to squeeze in an industry-first 200 MP periscope camera in the Oppo Find X9 Pro and ditch the dual-periscope setup.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Oppo may include a 200 MP periscope camera on the Find X9 Pro from Samsung called ISOCELL HP5. The sensor could be 1/1.56-inch with 0.5 μm pixel size, which might be a downgrade from Samsung's other 200 MP sensor, the ISOCELL HP9, which is 1/1.4-inch with 0.56 μm pixel size.

The HP5 could support DCG-HDR technology, which stands for Dual Conversion Gain HDR. It's used to enhance the overall low-light performance and dynamic range. The leak also suggests that the Find X9 Pro could feature two more cameras, including a 50 MP wide and a 50 MP ultrawide.
If this turns out to be true, the 200 MP periscope could replace the dual-periscope camera that was on the Find X8 Pro. The info on Weibo reveals that the sensor might be good until 10x, but might not match the quality attained by dedicated periscope lenses.
As for the other specifications, the Oppo Find X9 Pro is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with a 6.78-inch LTPO 120 Hz 1.5K AMOLED display. It's expected to launch with ColorOS based on Android 15, and may arrive in October this year, alongside the vanilla Find X9 and Find X9 Plus.
The Dimensity 9500's CPU configuration appeared on Geekbench recently, with an octa-core 1+3+4 design. It'll be based on ARM's Corex-X9 and A7 cores, made on 3 nm process. We also witnessed some Geekbench benchmark scores for the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 which show a significant jump in performance from last generation. The upcoming chipset managed to score around 4,000 points in single-core and over 11,000 in multi-core.
