Xiaomi's "Redmi Note" series is due for an upgrade in India and looks like the brand is hard at work. Key specifications of what appears to be the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have appeared online, giving us a good glimpse at the key specifications of the device.
Credible tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) took to Weibo to share some details of an upcoming mid-range smartphone. While the device has not been explicitly stated, the rumoured specifications appear to belong to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which is due to launch in 2025 itself.

The supposed smartphone is expected to feature a 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display, paired with the yet-top-be-announced Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. This means that while the display on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will be similar to last year's Redmi Note 14 Pro+, the SoC will get its due upgrade.
It is further expected to be equipped with a 50 MP vertical small telephoto sensor, paired with a 50 MP main sensor. Compared to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, the Note 15 Pro+ is getting a downgrade and an upgrade in the camera department.

The 200 MP main sensor on the Note 14 Pro+ will probably get replaced with a 50 MP sensor on the successor. However, compared to the 2 MP macro lens on the 2024 Note, the Note 15 Pro+ is getting a telephoto sensor. We expect the smartphone to still offer the ultra-wide-angle lens, which could or could not be an 8 MP sensor.
Apart from this, DCS also claims that with the Note 15 Pro+, Xiaomi might go with a 7,000+mAh battery capacity. However, it is not expected to cross the 8,000mAh mark. This is a major upgrade considering the Note 14 Pro+ launched with a 5,110mAh cell.
With that said, nothing is confirmed as of yet. So, take these updates with a pinch of salt. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ launched in India on December 2024. So, expect to see a similar launch window for the Note 15 Pro+ as well. We will be sure to update as and when official details emerge.
