Samsung's next-gen mobile processor, the Exynos 2600, has made its first appearance online. This gives a glimpse at the chipset that will most likely power at least one variant of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
The leak comes from tipster @Jukanlosreve on X, who spotted what seems like a prototype device running the chipset on Geekbench. The Exynos 2600 processor is seen bearing the S5E9965 model number with a 10-core CPU setup. It seems to consist of one prime core clocked at 3.59 GHz, followed by three cores clocked at 2.59 GHz and six efficiency cores at 1.96 GHz.
As for the Geekbench 6.4.0 scores, the device manages to hit 2,130 points in single-core and 6,920 points in the multi-core tests.

Do note that these numbers are expected to change before the final release. Besides, since this seems to be a prototype device running the chipset, the performance is not nearly as good as it should be. Ideally, it should be closer to the likes of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipsets.
This listing also reveals the Xclipse 940 GPU, which is expected to offer significantly improved GPU performance and ray tracking capabilities. Besides, the Exynos 2600 is rumoured to be built using Samsung Foundry's second-generation 3nm process. This should help the chipset deliver better power efficiency and thermal performance, both of which earlier Exynos chipsets have struggled with.
However, recently, leaks have also been hinting at Samsung's indecisiveness to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 on the Galaxy S26 series. It seems that we will most likely see both the top-of-the-line Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets make it to the phones.
As was the case previously, we could see Europe and parts of Asia get the Exynos 2600. Meanwhile, other regions could use the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Or, Samsung could simply be sticking to using the chipset solely on the base Galaxy S26. A recent report also suggested that Samsung could be ditching the Plus in favour of the Galaxy S26 Edge and it will most likely get the Elite treatment.
We are still months away from the debut of the Exynos 2600 chipset. However, from the looks of it, this could be Samsung's most ambitious processor yet and we're all for it. Only time will tell how well the chipset fares against the other upcoming flagship monsters.
