Samsung's next-gen Galaxy earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are expected to go official at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event next week. While they are yet to surface via official teasers, leaks and rumours have already shown off the TWS. The latest one gives us a good look at the tws, its charging case, box contents and one key missing feature.
Galaxy Buds 4 Series renders reveal disappointing detail
Thanks to X user Mohammed Khatri, we now have our first detailed look at the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro from all angles. The shared image reveals a 360° view of the TWS earbuds, their charging case and in-box contents. However, they also shed light on one disheartening detail – lack of a speaker grill on the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro case.

This comes after previously leaked renders confirmed the presence of a dedicated speaker unit at the back of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro case. With the new renders revealing otherwise, it seems like Samsung has dropped the plan for unknown reasons.
For those unaware, the 2nd gen AirpPods Pro were the first to introduce a built-in speaker system inside the TWS case for precision finding. It is also present inside the AirPods Pro 3rd Gen and acts as a locator beacon in case the user misplaces their earbuds or simply needs to locate them. So, fans were hopeful that Samsung would also adopt a similar system with the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. However, it doesn't look like that's happening.

As for the other details, both the earbuds and their charging cases now come with a revamped design. Instead of the sharp and angular stems on the Galaxy Buds 3 series, the Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro feature flattened stems. They are also more compact and curvier.
The charging case retains the transparent top lid, but now houses the earbuds in a horizontal position compared to the standing design of the Galaxy Buds 3 series. As for the box contents, they remain the same with a USB-C charging cable and three different-sized eartips.

Specification-wise, a recent Galaxy Buds 4 battery leak report revealed that the standard Buds 4 could feature a smaller 42mAh battery, while the Buds 4 Pro could gain a larger 57mAh battery. Moreover, an accidental e-commerce listing in Colombia has also revealed a host of new features for the Buds 4 Pro, like real-time Interpreter Mode, hand gesture controls and more.
That said, none of the above details have been officially confirmed by Samsung. So, take them with a pinch of salt. With the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro launch expected to happen alongside the Galaxy S26 series, we might hear more about them next week. So stay tuned.
